Councils

PARISH PASTORAL COUNCIL

The Parish Pastoral Council is the primary and established means for Parishioners and the Pastor to respond to the Pastoral Mission of the Church.  Council Members listen to the needs and hopes of the Pastor/Parishioners, investigate, reflect upon and propose conclusions.  Offers up, on a regular basis, an opportunity to create a vision for the Parish Community and design a planning process to bring this vision to fruition.  The Parish Pastoral Council (PPC) is governed by norms determined by the Diocesan Bishop.

Meetings of the Pastoral Council take place on the second Wednesday of the month at 7:00 pm in the Parish Center.

The following are those that currently serve on the council. We thank them for their service to our Parish!

FINANCE COUNCIL

The Parish Finance Council assists the Pastor in the administration of the Parish financial decisions.  It acts as a reference resource and advisory panel to the Pastor for all financial aspects of the Parish. An active and well-formed Parish Finance Council is an important and necessary support to the parish of being a good steward of parish resources. A Parish Finance Council supports the good governance of a parish and helps there be accountability to the diocese and to the parishioners.

In order to be
effective in their responsibilities as Council members, members should have a thorough understanding of the parish’s mission, goals, structure and demographics; knowledge of diocesan statutes and policies; and a general understanding of the structure and organization of diocesan finances.

Meetings of the Finance Council take place on the second Wednesday of the month at 6:00 pm in the Parish Center.

The following are those that currently serve on the St Christopher Parish Finance Committee.  We thank them for their service to our Parish!
